Quality control is crucial to make it success while make sure sawmill operators cutting down the best quality of trees and to produce lumber that has no knots or defects that provide to crafting agencies and companies. Below there are few steps to show how it process becoming top quality sawn timber.
Step 01
Preparation of raw materials (log) and quality of logs is checked after receiving whether it is the same as the Delivery Order (DO) given. The specification quality check consists size, diameter, type and length of logs.

Raw materials (logs) are split 2 part with section which consists of 30% and 70% to simplify the work of cutting based on size. If the diameter of log is more than 17″, the cutting will split into 3 to 4 parts of logs.

After the raw material (log) had been split cutting phase, the log are cutting becoming wood based on the specification sizing and requirement of client which consists quality, size, and length.

The sawn timber that is ready to be processed will be crosscut which the damaged or broken part will be cut off. While wood in good condition it will be separated and arranged according to the size of the wood to facilitate the sorting process.

The sawn timber sorted according to the size and length of the timber and each layer of wood must be on the base, so that there is space for air to enter to prevent the wood from being damaged. The height of the arrangement will be set by the customer. Once completed, the sawn timber stacked, tied and labeled based on the series number, type of wood and the size of the wood must be written on ready bundle of stacked sawn timber.
